Best cardio workout

There is no one single exercise that is far superior than the others but if you are looking for the best cardio workout to lose weight and burn fat from, then it is easy to get a good idea on the options you have. When choosing what exercises to incorporate in your workout you will want to look at which are the best for burning fat.

The main difference between exercises is the intensity level you are performing them at. You can do the same exercise at different intensity levels so it is important to decide which intensity is best for you. If weight loss is the main goal and you are not just conditioning yourself, then you should try high intensity interval training.

What is High Intensity Interval Training?
This is an exercising method which is designed specifically for burning fat. It focuses on keeping the intensity level as high as possible while exercising. For example, if you are jogging or running then you would set timed sprints. The concept behind sprinting in this exercise is that you only reach your highest intensity for a short period of time. If you run for 15 minutes straight you will not be at your highest intensity. So, instead you would jog for 10 minutes then alternate between cool down periods and sprints for the remaining 5 minutes.

You can tweak the workout as you please but generally you will not want your high intensity sets to go over 60 seconds in length. By doing this exercise you will definitely break a sweat and burn a lot of calories. With the amazing weight loss results caused by completing these exercises, it is arguably the best cardio workout to perform.

What’s the Best Exercise for High Intensity Interval Training?
You can choose from a variety of exercises when doing this form of training but the best is probably running. You could perform this while on a bike, swimming, or doing various other cardio exercises, but they’re not as effective. Basketball games and training can be considered as high intensity interval training as well since you are regularly sprinting and have pauses in between. Various basketball drills (such as suicides) are very effective as well.

There are other exercises to choose from but high intensity exercises are probably the best cardio workout to choose from. Just remember that the higher the intensity of the exercises, the more you sweat, and the more you burn.

What Exercises Should Be Avoided?
There are some exercises that do not really burn much fat and will not show great results. Many people make the mistake of thinking all cardio is good cardio. While all cardio is helpful to your health, not all cardio will do much good when trying to lose weight. You will generally want to avoid basing your workout routine on just low intensity exercises. This includes walking, biking at a low to moderate pace, and any other exercise that is at a low intensity.

Also, do not think that if you perform a low intensity exercise for a long time that you will see any better results. You could bike at a low speed of 3.5 to 4 miles per hour on a recumbent bike for 3-4 hours and barely see any good weight loss results. If you are exercising for such extensive periods of time, it is obviously very unhealthy. You want to get about an hour of cardio a day. While you are doing high intensity exercises you will be alternating between a moderate pace and sprints.

In order to get strong weight loss results you will need a healthy diet and you will have to exercise regularly, but the exercises you do play a major role. Exercising not only helps you burn sweat and calories but it improves your metabolism which will help with the dieting aspect as well. In closing, if you are looking for what the best cardio workout is, there may not be one specific workout that is the best, but high intensity exercises do give the best results.

Exercising has tremendous benefits for your heart and overall health. A lot of people have trouble finding the time in their day to exercise. The way I do it is to set a dedicated time each day and stick to it.

I think where most people mess up with cardio is that their diet is not in check. You can’t just eat anything and jump on a treadmill and lose weight. Cardio exercise is a great way to burn calories, but if you don’t change your diet you aren’t going to get any truly good results.
