Natural asthma treatment

If you are someone who suffers from asthma, you probably know how difficult it can be to rely on the medications that the doctors prescribe to reduce your risk of a sudden attack. It often helps to have an alternative natural asthma treatment that will work to help improve your asthma symptoms and can work to cut back on the amount of medication that you will have to rely on to work on your attacks and problems. While you should not ever completely give up the medicine that your doctor has prescribed to treat your asthma, there is certainly a way to utilize a natural asthma treatment to reduce the amount of attacks that you have each month.

One of the first things that natural asthma treatment recommendations are based on is your dietary needs. Something that is definitely recommended for asthma sufferers is for you to intake more fish in your diet. This is because oils that are contained in salmon, sardines, tuna, and halibut, are high in the essential ingredients that our bodies need to function on a healthy level. This combined with a healthy amount of grains works to make sure that you are operating at your peak levels, and it has been shown that those who ate these foods had a lowered chance of having asthma problems.

In general when you are looking into natural asthma treatment it is a good idea to make sure that you eat as many of the recommended servings of fruits, vegetables, grains, and fish on a regular basis to make sure that you reduce your risk of having reoccurring asthma problems. Some scientists have theorized that the rise in asthma cases are a result of diets that do not include many of these foods, and this is especially true in children and teens whose bodies are constantly developing. In fact, some studies have shown that mothers who ingest high levels of fish oil while they are pregnant are less likely to have children with asthma.

Some of the other ways in which people opt to do natural asthma treatment is to take supplements of Vitamin C, Magnesium, Ginko, Sylimarin, Omega-3 Fatty Acids, and Butterbur Extract. These methods of natural asthma treatment are the perfect way to make sure that you are doing everything possible to reduce your risk of having an unnecessary asthma attack. Another natural asthma treatment that some people have found helpful is yoga. This is because yoga focuses on strengthening your inner core. There are also several breathing exercises and strengthening practices that people work on that end up helping them to control their asthma.

Another form of natural asthma treatment is to remove yourself from any potential triggers for your asthma attacks. This can include working to make sure that you reduce the amount of allergens in your home as well as cutting back on the amount of perfumes and smoke that you are around at any given time. This is because odors (even subtle ones) can cause problems with your breathing and can make it difficult to get control over your asthma symptoms. Whatever natural asthma treatment you find that works for you may not work for everyone, but these are just a few hints that might help you to break out of the painful cycle of asthma.

The key to finding the natural asthma treatment that works best for you is to work on them in different combinations to find out which ones can control your asthma outbreaks and can help you to cut back on the number of attacks you experience. Remember, do not stop taking any daily medications that have been prescribed to you by your doctor, but rather try to use the natural asthma treatments in conjunction with your medications.

  1. Another method for treating asthma that has been proven in several clinical trials to substantially reduce both symptoms and reliever and preventer medication is the Buteyko method of breathing re-education. This is based on the theory that asthma is substantially caused and exacerbated by over-breathing. If the sufferer can learn to nose breathe and reduce their breathing volume then the effects are quite dramatic. See for more info.

  2. I second Brenda’s comments above. The only thing thing that has worked for my asthma has been the Buteyko method. It sounds crazy, but it actually works for a lot of people….
