Flax seed colon cleanse

There are many products on the market today that are designed to help clean the colon. Cleansing the colon on a regular basis is such an important part of maintaining a healthy body. With an unhealthy colon, your body cannot function at its maximum potential. Instead, your body is slowly poisoned with all sorts of toxic waste that enters your bloodstream from your digestive tract. Since people are often on the go and grabbing foods that are filled with fats, greases, pesticides, bacteria, parasites, hormones and sugars, our colons have become extremely unhealthy. Back before fast food restaurants were invented, people lived a much simpler lifestyle. The foods people ate came straight from the garden or off the farm. As the years have gone by, our foods have become processed, refined and dosed with all sorts of the unwanted bi-products that are mentioned above.

In order to eliminate these unwanted toxins, bacteria and parasites from our bodies, we must look at what we are eating and how much of it is actually coming back out as waste. There are so many people that suffer from chronic constipation. This is because most people are not getting enough fiber in their diet. You may be wondering why fiber is so important. Dietary fiber is an essential ingredient that we should be eating everyday. Without enough fiber, our bodies are unable to rid themselves of the waste in our colons, causing a build-up along the digestive tract. This build up is also referred to as mucoid plaque. With a thick layer of mucoid plaque sitting in our intestines, our vitamins and nutrients from our food cannot enter the bloodstream. Instead the decaying waste products leak toxins into the bloodstream that can then start to interfere with the way we feel and also can cause disease in the body.

Fiber rids the body of unwanted waste and helps the nutrients we get from our food digest and enter the bloodstream. There are also people who suffer from chronic diarrhea or irritable bowel syndrome. This condition can also be caused by the mucoid plaque. A healthy body should have at least one normal bowel movement a day, often one bowel movement after each meal. For those that consume enough fiber, the bowel movement should pass easily and cause no straining.

Fiber can be found in all sorts of foods. Flaxseed is an excellent source of fiber. Flaxseed is extremely healthy and is also full of omega-3 fatty acids which offer so many wonderful benefits to the body. Not only does flaxseed help to rid your body of all the unwanted waste material, but its healthy nutrients have also been linked to reducing blood sugar levels, lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, lowering the chance of developing breast cancer and helping those that suffer from a bowel disorder. With so many benefits it only seems fit that we start eating more of this wonderful food. It is recommended that you consume 25 grams of fiber a day, and it only takes 2/3 cup of flaxseeds to provide you with 28 grams of fiber. When taking flaxseed, it is best to make sure the seeds are chopped up. By eating the seeds in whole form they are more likely to pass through your system without providing any benefits. Try adding flaxseeds to salads, cereals, oatmeal, or in baked goods. They offer a nutty flavor and can even replace eggs in many recipes.

Remember that eating fiber is crucial in eliminating waste from the colon, but also drinking plenty of water and exercising daily will help maximize the effects of the fiber.
