For a standard or average face lift, your cost will likely be around $7,000. A mid-range procedure which covers a larger area of the face will cost around $8,000 on average. Lower face lifts or those that include the jawline area and more extensive work around the entire face typically cost around $7,000 to more than $10,000. If you are having work done on your neck as well as your face you can expect your cost to increase by at least $5,000. Eyelid surgery, facial liposuction, microdermabrasion and brow lift surgery will also increase your overall surgery cost. In order to get a breakdown of individual prices or to determine the cost of the specific surgery that you are considering, you will need to speak with your surgeon and discuss your specific treatment course.
If your skin is dry and/or stiff which typically results from excessive sun exposure, the procedure will be much more difficult and will require more time in order to perfect. Elastic or healthier skin is much easier to operate on and takes much less time. This will also be a determining factor for your overall cost. Again, other procedures that you have done will also have an impact on your face lift cost. Many patients spend more than $20,000 on their face lifts when they combine a typical or standard face lift with other procedures such as brow lifts, chin surgery, rhinoplasty or nose surgery and other procedures such as facial implants and certain skin treatments. If you elect to have all of your chosen procedures performed at the same time, the cost will be less because you will only incur one fee for anesthesia as well as one fee for your chosen facility. Combining procedures also typically requires less total time from your surgeon which will also lower the cost.
Many face lift surgeons offer payment plans that can stretch out your cost over a number of years. Patient financing is available in most major cities and can help the overall cost of a facelift or other plastic surgeries to be more affordable. You will need to discuss the possibility of making payments with your specific surgeon to see if this is a service that he or she offers.
