Colon cleanse diet

There are times in your life when you can feel depressed, tired, lethargic or ill and unfortunately there is no specific medication that seems to help. However the likelihood is that you have infected your body with certain toxins that you have come into contact with you during your everyday life. The majority of time you will not even realize it. This may have been caused by pesticides or trans-fats in your food, chemicals in the types of drinks you consume, or even something as simple as car exhaust fumes in the air. Whatever it may be, you should be aware that your body is being attacked by numerous pollutants throughout the day. This is the reason that many people turn to detox plans and cleansing diets to restore their body’s to full health.

Many people choose a colon cleansing program in order to fully detoxify themselves and start living a normal, healthy life again. If you are considering a colon cleansing program, it is equally as important to ensure that you eat healthy foods and certain supplements as a combination. There are certain foods that you should immediately avoid in your diet and these include: Coffee and black tea, Coke, Pepsi and other carbonated and soft drinks, fast foods, potato chips, cookies, pasteurized milk, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and you should also look to limit the amount of rice that you consume.

What many people fail to realize is that colon cleansing can actually make you feel extremely tired and lethargic if you are not getting enough of the correct supplements. You will actually find that cleansing will remove the bad toxins from your body, and during this expulsion you may feel rather sick. Colon Cleansing can place an awful lot of stress on the body and will indeed make you feel de-energized. It is therefore important that you take certain vital supplements to re-energise your body.

Probiotics – colon cleansing will not only remove all the harmful toxins from your body, but the healthy bacteria as well. Healthy bacteria is extremely beneficial and will help you to maintain your floral balance, as well as guarding against bad bacteria. You will also find that healthy bacteria will help to keep your digestive system in check. Probiotics are often found in yoghurts and can also be taken as a natural supplement, such as Latero-Flora.

Raw eggs yolks – although the thought of eating raw eggs yolks may seem pretty disgusting, there is a reason that they were well advertised in the Rocky films and are often consumed by fit and healthy people. You will act you find that a raw egg yolk is potentially one of the most nutritious foods on this planet. It actually contains pretty much every single necessary vitamin and mineral that your body requires. If you can eat just one raw egg yolk a day, this is very much the same as taking a multivitamin. Rather than trying to consume raw egg yolks on their own, try mixing them with your favorite vegetable or fruit juice. You may even use a raw egg yolk as a salad dressing. They actually do not taste as bad as you may think however if you have never eaten a raw egg before in your life, it is advisable to take it slowly.

Vitamins C – the toxins that are being removed from your body during the cleansing process, as mentioned, will make you feel tired and sluggish. It is highly recommended that you take vitamin C during this time as this can help to keep your mind and brain clear. You may choose to take a vitamin C supplement such as Ester-C. Merely take one supplement per day and preferably in the mornings.

The foods that you should be eating when you are going through the colon cleansing program are fairly simple. Firstly you should aim not to mix any carbohydrates with proteins during any meal. Unfortunately there are completely different digestive fluids required to break down carbohydrates and proteins. Whenever you combine these two types of food, the separate digestive fluids partially neutralize each other which will prevent full digestion. This can lead to gas, bloating, constipation and even a lower nutrient absorption.

Try not to overcomplicate things in your diet and simply focus directly on eating a major carbohydrate food at one time of the day and then a major protein group at another time of the day. Some simple examples may include eating pasta with red sauce, but without any meat or meatballs. Grilled chicken with steamed carrots and chopped green and red Peppers, but no potatoes. Try a steak and a green bean salad, but once again without any starchy potatoes. It is also important that you do not eat anything for at least 2 to 3 hours prior to going to bed. At bedtime your body will go into sleep mode, when food is digested at a much slower rate. You should view this is the perfect time to give your body a much-needed rest.
